Cowboys & Aliens happened in Arizona Territory in 1873. A stranger with no memory of his past stumbled into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history was a mysterious shackle that encircled one wrist. The people of Absolution were not friendly to the stranger. So everyone was curious about his identity included himself. When he tried his best to cognizant of his identity, something bad happened. A spacecraft appeared and made the town fall into the fear. At the critical moment, identity mystery seemed to be not so important. They all knew that they should work together to protect their hometown. What was more, the people in the town found out that they must depended on the stranger only who can fight with the aliens.
