Movie Synopsis: “Square Grouper: The Godfathers of Ganja” is a documentary. It depends on the history of the things which happened in 1979. The US Customs Service reported that 87% of all domestic marijuana seizures were made in the South Florida area. Because the special topography, the South Florida area is a smuggler’s paradise. The film mainly describes attitude of smugglers’ the life. Smugglers are also divided into different forces group; the movie also tells the contradiction between them and how to solve them. Movie presents a smuggled cultural development to us; meanwhile, it tells that with the occurrence of smuggling culture produced some stories. It focuses on three eras: the infamous Black Tuna Gang, the Ethiopian Zion Coptic Church, and Everglades City. They have their own characters, and the story between them also breathtaking.
